Empire State of Mind

This weekend I traveled to New York last minute for the Knicks parade after their big championship win (3rd Knicks chip after 53 years!).

My parents who have lived in New York for half of their lives always talk about missing the city and it's memories. Although I was only born in New York, recently I have begun to understand the sense of community and fellowship New Yorkers express for each other and basketball. Millions of people swarming the street to congratulate their basketball team on their epic win.

Community

Across social media, news stations, and even outside of America the Knicks were celebrated. New York's widespread cultural differences and connectivity has allowed strong communities to be built. Communities strong enough to flood streets for a sport and convert fans who have probably never watched a game of basketball. This deep sense of love and persistence is what makes a New Yorker and allows this city to thrive off of passions, hopes, and dreams.

Knock on Wood! BUT I would love to go to NYU for dental school. NYU has the largest dental school in the United States. The school offers many programs including Doctors of Dental Surgery for clinical practice combined with social sciences, Advanced Education for dental specialist such as orthdontists, periodontists (focused on gum diseases), and prosthodontists (treating missing or nonfunctional teeth), finally NYU offers an International Dentist program offered to anyone intrested in dentistry all over the world. Overall the opprotunities and campus sounds like an amazing hand on experience for my career!
